Stage 1 Bronco Steering Cap and Bushing

Not sure which steering rack is in your Bronco? Currently every Bronco comes stock from the factory with a Hoss 2.0 steering rack except for the following models:
– 2023+ Wildtrak
– Bronco Raptor

-

  • CNC Machined Motor End Cap
  • 2 piece plastic and oil impregnated bronze bushing for the pinion side of the factory rack
  • This kit includes everything you need to make this install in your driveway. You do not need to pull your factory rack to complete this mod.

For those that want a bit more than the stock rack can handle we are offering a cap and bushing to help stabilize the factory housing. This is perfect for those that plan to do light offroading and just want a bit more security. We recommend this setup for stock tires and stock suspension. This helps support the factory rack bar in the factory housing. The kit includes a billet aluminum CNC machined end cap with an oil impregnated bronze bushing for the motor side of the factory housings as well as a 2 piece impact resistant plastic and an oil impregnated bronze bushing for the pinion side of the housing. The plastic used is 18 times more impact resistant than Acetal (commonly referred to as Delrin). The 2 piece gives you the stability and wear resistance of bronze with the durability of this super tough plastic. These two items are sold together as our Stage 1 kit

End Cap Features

  • CNC machined from 6061 aluminum
  • End cap features an oil impregnated bronze bushing for durability and longevity

Pinion Side Bushing Features

  • Pinion side bushing features a 2 piece design using a medium stiffness high impact resistant plastic to handle shock load. This is NOT an acetal plastic bushing which has a high tensile and yield but is NOT impact resistant. Instead we source a softer, much more impact resistant plastic that is designed to absorb and dampen shock loads. We coupled this ultra impact resistant plastic with an oil impregnated bronze bushing for long life and durability. This combination makes it the best choice for those who aren’t ready to dive into a full billet aluminum rack.

This mod can be done by simply pulling your tie rods, slipping on the cap and bushings and installing the tie rods back on the vehicle when you are done.
