The Ultimate Bronco & Ranger Raptor Portal allows you to build an extreme off road capable vehicle while still retaining the comfort and ride quality of the OEM suspension. Our 4 gear design provides a 22% reduction at the hub which allows you to run a bigger tire without the extra stress on drivetrain components. This means you run a 37″ tire on the Ranger Raptor and a 38″ tire on the Bronco without having to regear axles, and without putting more stress on your factory front CV axles. The portal is your lift, the portal is your re-gear, and unlike conventional kits, it gives you ground clearance. A portal lift is widely recognized as the absolute best solution for an independent suspension system. It is why so many Ultra4 and racers run our Race Portals. Guys like Casey Currie, Loren Healy, Vaughn Gittin Jr., Jason Scherer, Greg Adler, and many others have discovered the huge benefits to this system and have integrated our race-proven portal into their cars. Included in every portal set is a big rotor kit, 4 portals, and rear full float shafts. We also include every bolt and piece needed to complete the installation. We strongly recommend a 35-37″ tire for the Ranger Raptor and a 37-38″ tire for the Bronco. Why do we not recommend 40’s? Several reasons. Most importantly, they don’t fit and you don’t need them. 40’s require a lot of cutting. A portal vehicle on 32″ tires has the same amount of ground clearance as a non portal rig on 40’s. You are buying ground clearance, don’t underestimate its effects on navigating off road terrain. Steering is also an issue. While our rack can hold up to the weigh, we are limited to the torque we can produce with that rack. You will take lines in a Bronco on 37’s that are not possible in a non portal car on 40’s. We see this trend across the industry of everyone wanting to constantly go bigger and bigger on tires and we just disagree with it. But clearly, our products buck conventional trends so this concept is nothing new.
