Portal Axles are not a new concept to Military applications. The H1 hummer has had great success in employing this tech over decades of use.
At 74Weld we are actively engaging for new applications to bring this proven technology to additional applications. We are currently in development of several military vehicles ranging from light tactical vehicles >4000lbs as well as some heavier applications <12,000lbs. We have several gear ratios available depending on vehicle weight, gearing, and requirements. All engineering and manufacturing is done in San Diego, Ca. We are AS9100 Certified, registered in SAM, and have a current GSA Schedule Contract.
